Richard Gurfein

Richard A. Gurfein is a past president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and Board Certified by the National Board of Trial Advaocacy. Before being admitted to practice, he was an Electrical Engineer and a High School Math teacher. He tried his first case 10 days after becoming a lawyer and hasn”t stopped for 50 years. His success as a trial lawyer representing injured clients has gained him membership in the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, Top One Percent; America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators; and the elite “9-Figure Litigators”.
Since his admission to the Bar in 1972, Mr. Gurfein has been trying cases ranging from simple negligence to medical malpractice and complex products liability. His teaching experience has always helped him educate judges and juries about his clients’ cases. Mr. Gurfein continues his teaching activities by educating lawyers on topics ranging from computer research to the Law of Evidence, how to try a malpractice case to how to prepare an expert witness and how to conduct effective Direct and Cross Examinations.
Mr. Gurfein has appeared on many radio and television programs, newspapers and magazines about the cases he has handled. He has been honored by organizations for his work on behalf of his clients and on behalf of lawyers who represent injured consumers. In 2018 Mr. Gurfein was honored by Marquis’ Who’s Who with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and he has been listed in the various publications of Who’s Who for 35 years. He is recognized by other publications as well, having been selected to Super Lawyers since 2007.

Fred Sullivan

Fred has been a leader in the development of websites and multimedia since 1994. Over the past two decades, Fred has maintained a strong record as an entrepreneur and consultant in IT, multimedia, and entertainment. Included in Fred’s web credits are designing the website framework for the Coalition for the International Criminal Court, an initiative that enabled countries to unite and collaborate before the Rome Treaty Conference, which ultimately led to the formation of the International Criminal Court in 2002. This court was established to try crimes against humanity. He also founded LiQ, a shopping search engine, in 1998, an internet company that sold for $48 million, and the interactive agency NetReaction, founded in 1997. NetReaction created Pihana Pacific’s online marketing and branding strategy, a plan that resulted in Pihana’s successful merger with Equinix (EQIX on the NASDAQ) in 2002. Along the way, he has consulted on many other technology start-ups, as well as for Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies such as Trammell Crow and Sumitomo Corporation.
Freds has a profound skill at developing whole system strategies for everything from local nonprofits to multinational corporations. They are balanced with an extensive background in painting, ballet, the Argentine tango, and classical piano. They are enabling him to interact successfully with clients and creatives of all types and weave conviction, message, and web-savvy seamlessly. Also, his lifetime involvement with computers from their onset, combined with the study of life sciences and films and TV production experience, gives him a solid understanding of how business systems should work. Fred relies on his ability to envision space and possibilities to see into the structure of any venture. He assesses core needs and helps find immediate solutions whether it’s guiding the direction of a camera, developing a brand strategy, or judging how to design a database interface or software application.

Carlo is Product Manager and Human Interface Designer at Gsmarthub, a project by Man Up Campaign US Inc. – an NGO with Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
His experience ranges from working within the areas of UIX Design, Web Development and Software Product Management at international companies such as Apple & the United Nations to freelance web development projects, to working as a product manager for a global NGO with Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
He has worked with over 15 countries, especially in Latin America, Central America, and Europe. Carlo works with enterprise leaders, investors, UN agencies, international NGOs, foundations, and volunteers around the globe.
